Crafting again...
Is soooo nice!
After literally months of not picking up a needle and thread ~ yesterday was a bit of bliss ;)

The spaces between
Radically decluttering ~ ok, well trying to...has given me the chance to see what happens in the small, sweet spaces between all the 'stuff' .I'm seeing so clearly how much we don't need the 'stuff' so much as we need those spaces between to create magical moments of imagination and comforting love :) Before this, I had thought that material goods were a medium for connection - which they can be, there just needs to be...balance ;) In a small space, that need for balance becomes even greater. When the kids are not able to play in their room because it is storing so many toys hence, they don't get played with, then what is the point of having them? The idea of them, that is the point. The idea of what could happen if they are played with, the magic that could be created....so it becomes a matter of what kind and exactly how much magic are we talkin' here? ;)

In the light
4 kiddos in a 4 room house (plus a ladder accessed loft) ~
Certainly can be interesting ;)
With a new little one on the way the push is on. The normally passive parents if this household (oh, one would be me btw ;) are ready for change. Hmmm, build on or move....? I vote for a move but we will see :) It's hard to find something as, well, darn sweet as this area is. For now, I will try to see this place in ways I usually overlook. Morning sickness is easing so this should be a less daunting task ;) Whether we stay or go there will at least be some mindfulness of these days spent here.
Oh, and of course once the crafting kicks in again, some of that too ;)

A Tale of 2 Cookies: A Portrait of Love
It all started with one cookie each after their first solo sledding soiree with their biggest brother....soon changed to 2 cookies each ;) Our littlest one wanted a 3rd (no surprise) and after some crying and pleading for more from mama, big sister ("my heroine" *bats eyelashes*) plops down and not only shares her soymilk but her precious and last cookie. Ah, is that not love?
